About Conference

JETCON-2024 with the theme “Empowering Sustainable Future in Sindh: Advancing Just Energy Transition” will be held at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology in Jamshoro Sindh on August 13, 2024. JETCON-2024 presents an open forum for the emerging scholars, scientists, engineers, policymakers, and thinktanks aiming to raise renewable energy awareness for a sustainable future and suggest initiatives for Just Energy Transition in Sindh. This includes, but not limited to, hybrid energy systems, energy policy and regulatory frameworks, community mini-grids, community engagement and socio-economic impacts, and interdisciplinary approaches. The conference will serve as a platform between academia, industry, community, and policymakers as well as it will foster opportunities for students to research and discuss the advancements in renewable energy and share best practices. It is believed that the collaboration would lead to the creation of a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and networking for the promotion of renewable energy.

Conference Objectives:

  • Improve awareness and knowledge about the issues and challenges faced by the energy communities at local level in the Sindh
  • Facilitate meaningful connections and partnerships for possible collaborations with the University, Industry and Government (UIG), and development of partners to promote renewable energy 
  • Provide a forum for young researchers to share insights on cutting-edge research, technology development, and policy frameworks
  • Facilitate connections among stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, including researchers, practitioners , policymakers , and investors 
  • Enhance the skills and knowledge of participants through workshops and panel discussions

Guidelines: 

  • Papers submitted to the conference should be in English.
  • All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical.
  • Articles submitted to the conference should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Good quality plagiarism software/ tool (Turnitin) can be used to check similarity that would not be more than 20%.
  • We firmly believe that ethical conduct is the most essential virtue of any academic. Hence any act of plagiarism is a totally unacceptable academic misconduct and cannot be tolerated.
  • Authors are solely responsible for their submissions’ originality and quality. If a paper is rejected due to plagiarism or quality issues, the conference cannot be held accountable.
